The millennium-old temple ruins of the Khmer Empire lie within the Angkor Archaeological Park, a World Heritage Site just 6kms from Siem Reap. Visit some of the beautiful temples including the many faced Bayon, Ta Phrom, Banteay Srey and the incredible Angkor Wat.

Take time to cruise on the Ton Le Sap lake exploring the floating village of Chong Khneas, Kampong Pluk stilted village and flooded forest, or venture further to the Prek Toal Bird Sanctuary; an important breeding ground for large water birds.

We have 13 rooms (9 en suite and 4 shared bathrooms) in a French colonial style Khmer villa on the East bank of the Siem Reap River, opposite the royal gardens.

The owners, Simon and Rachel, both from the UK, meet in Siem Reap in January 2005 and have been running the Rosy Guesthouse together since then, Simon was already running the guesthouse since October 2004. Since that time the guesthouse has changed a lot; constant renovations and decoration, additions to the rooms and communal areas to make them more comfortable and convenient for guests.

Siem Reap has also changed immensely in this time. Back in 2005 our road was unpaved, there were hardly any pavements in or around the town and free WiFi was unheard of due to the massively expensive internet connection. Now Siem Reap is clean, paved and with free WiFi as standard; a booming tourist destination. As Siem Reap is opening up more and more to the international traveller as are the options of tours, adventures and trips that can be taken. Our combined 22 years experience in Cambodia makes us a great source of knowledge on local and regional sights, activities and travel advice as well as our great staff base who are adept at helping guests to get the most of their stay in Siem Reap.

Our focus has always been on good value for money and great service for our guests to enjoy their time at Rosy Guesthouse as much as possible. Our team of 15 dedicated local staff work hard to help us achieve this aim and enjoy interaction and conversation with guests from different countries.

One of our main concerns is on reducing our impact on our local environment and helping our local community; we have many energy/water saving initiatives and work with several local charities to help achieve this aim. We are always looking for new ideas or initiatives to support or areas where we can reduce our environmental impact; any suggestions are very welcome.

We look forward to welcoming you to Rosy Guesthouse.
